Up your guacamole game with this homemade Blueberry Guacamole! It might sound like an interesting combination, but adding blueberries to this guacamole recipe adds just a touch of sweetness to compliment the creamy, lemony flavor of the smashed avocados.I dare you to try it and say you don’t like it!
Blueberries in guacamole… hmm. Weird? Unique? Intriguing? All the above? Listen, if you’re on team weird right now… give it a solid go, you might be surprised at how much you like this Blueberry Guacamole. And if you’re on team intrigued, then you should most definitely try it because I think your fascination will turn into love, just like mind did when I first tried it.
There’s a reason why guacamole is one of the best snack foods around. I have a lot of snacking favorites, but guacamole always seems to rank up at the top. Fellow avocado lovers, I know you feel me. So, like, why mess with it? If it ain’t broke… but basically guacamole is having a spa day and getting a temporary makeover. Don’t worry, you can still go back to good ol’ fashioned guacamole, but if you feel like gettin’ wild, throw some blueberries in your next batch of guac.
I first had blueberries in guacamole at a local restaurant here in Columbus, REBol. I don’t think I ever had the ‘weird’ thought cross my mind, but I certainly worked through the rest. First I was super intrigued, and curiosity got the best of me, I just had to try it. I fell so much in love with it that I wanted to make my own recipe so I could enjoy it at home whenever I wanted. Another perk- my kids love it too and it’s super easy to whip up for lunch or dinner. In this case, I thought it deserved the spotlight on Cinco De Mayo.
Sometimes I wish I could turn back time and add blueberries to all my guacamole, but let’s party and go big in 2020! This Blueberry Guacamole is the ultimate fiesta in your mouth. Am I sellin’ ya too hard? Or just being really convincing 😉 If you’ve made it this far in the post, I think you’re definitely in the intrigued phase. Now all you have to do is dive in!
I like to keep my guacamole basic, I mean, other than adding blueberries basic. And I don’t really like to add onion. Call me crazy but hey, less prep work. You can have this 6-ingredient Blueberry Guacamole in your tummy via tortilla chip in about 10 minutes.
Three extra large avocados are smashed and combined with lemon juice, lime juice, garlic salt, cumin, and the star in this guacamole recipe… blueberries. It make the perfect party dip, summer appetizer, or anytime snack.

It might sound like an interesting combination, but adding blueberries to this guacamole recipe adds just a touch of sweetness to compliment the creamy, lemony flavor of the smashed avocados. I dare you to try it and say you don't like it!
Ingredients
3 extra large avocados (or 5 regular)
1.5 tablespoons lemon juice
1 lime, juiced
1.5 teaspoons garlic salt
1/2-1 teaspoon ground cumin
6 oz organic blueberries
Instructions
Wash your blueberries.
Spoon all of the avocado flesh into a medium-large bowl.
Add the lemon juice, lime, juice, garlic salt, and cumin. Mash all of the avocado to the desired texture (I like my guacamole a little chunky). Adjust the seasonings to taste if desired.
Stir in the blueberries and serve with tortilla chips or fresh veggies!
Enjoy immediately. Store leftover guacamole in the fridge for a day.
