All my sesame lovers, where ya at?! This one is for you! It’s no secret that I am already obsessed with tahini, which y’all know is a paste made from ground up sesame seeds, but I’m gettin’ crazy today and using these nutrient-rich seeds both ground and whole in these gluten-free, vegan cookies that only require 4 ingredients, and about 15 minutes of your time.
It all started when I was brainstorming on ways to use my New Chapter Fermented Black Seed Booster Powder. Sure you can add it to the more obvious (and delicious) choices- smoothies, milk, juices, oatmeal, etc. But I wanted to think outside the box a bit- and naturally my mind goes straight to cookies.
This recipe stems from my obsession with a gluten-free, vegan dessert recipe I learned from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition when I was achieving my health coaching certification. Their version uses honey, but to keep these vegan I use maple syrup.
Let’s chat about these 4-ingredients, shall we?
☆ sesame seeds
☆ New Chapter Fermented Black Seed Booster Powder
☆ maple syrup
☆ pure vanilla extract
☆ pinch of salt (optional)
So what’s the deal with this Fermented Black Seed Booster Powder? It offers occasional stress relief and memory support, while aiding a healthy mood.* And I don’t know about you, but sometimes as I feel the weight of the world, I need a little boost in all of those areas. This powder combines the power of Black Seed (Nigella), Turmeric, Lion’s Mane, and Aloe, with a nutrient-packed fermentate, to deliver a supplement that soothes and provides holistic wellness support.*
A fun fact I forgot to mention about these gluten-free, vegan, 4-ingredient sesame cookies is that they can be baked or not! I tried them both ways and they were scrumptious. If you’re looking for more of a crunch, then bake them for about 12 minutes. If your cookie monster self is rearing to the surface and you can’t wait, then go ahead and enjoy the cookie “dough” as is.
Why I like New Chapter’s Fermented Black Seed Booster Powder is not only because of the amazing benefits it provides, but also because it is fermented with probiotics and whole foods to result in a more easily digestible powder- bonus!
I also use this fermented black seed booster powder in my Roasted Carrot Hummus recipe! I’m all about gluten-free, vegan superfood cookies, so if you like these, check out my Chocolate Chunk Matcha Shortbread Cookies!
So head on over to New Chapter to purchase, and let’s get right to the recipe! Don’t forget to comment below and tag me on Instagram and Facebook if you make these!
