No juicer needed to make this green juice! All you need is a blender, a nut milk bag (cheesecloth or kitchen towel), and fresh produce! This Blender Green Juice is made with green apple, lemon, greens, kiwi, and celery for a healthy homemade juice the whole family will enjoy with no added sugar!
The craving hit. Hard. I was dying for fresh, not store-bought green juice and all my favorite local juice shops are closed, it breaks my heart. I sure hope they can survive this shut down because I love love love what they are doing, offering fresh juices to people advocating for more produce forward eating. But until they reopen, I will be making this Blender Green Juice on repeat because it’s SO easy and so delicious! Really satisfies my green juice craving all the way.
So here’s the thing about homemade juice. I love it, but I hate, like hate using my juicer. I’m lazy. I hate putting it together, and standing there feeding it my produce, and I absolutely loathe cleaning it. Maybe I just don’t have a great juicer… but if I have the opportunity to throw all my chosen ingredients into my blender all at once while keeping the clean up afterward minimal, I’m all in.
I also thought this Blender Green Juice recipe would be very timely- you know, staying home and all, for people who don’t even have a juicer. Or people like me who cringe thinking about cleaning the juicer. You do need a blender, preferably a high-speed blender like a Vitamix blender, but as long as you can blend up the produce pretty well you’re in the juice making biz.
The other thing you’ll need is a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or even a thin kitchen towel- less preferred but you can make it work. (If you do decide to order a nut milk bag, be sure to use code ‘littlevittles’ for 10% off!). You simply chop your produce, throw it in your blender, add water and blend until smooth. Then, using your nut milk bag you’ll strain your juice to get all of the pulp out. Squeeze all the liquid and be sure to get every last drop. That’s it!
This Blender Green Juice recipe makes 4 cups of juice. You can easily double the recipe and keep it in your fridge for a few days too! I really tried to pace myself and not suck it all down in one sitting… good luck! Haha. It’s slightly sweet from the green apple, pineapple, and kiwi, but also packs a little pucker with the lemon and sneakily adds those greens and celery juice. All good things. And I bet the kiddos will love it too! NO ADDED SUGAR people. Juice from concentrate and lots of them from the stores are LOADED with sugar. No bueno.
I hope this Blender Green Juice recipe is helpful to those of you who don’t have a juicer at home, and I sure hope you love it and it brings a smile to your face during these difficult times.
