This is my first mocktail recipe! 🤭 it was so much fun to use these cocktail glasses and I found the perfect cocktail shaker, it was pretty much meant to be. And the sunlight was perfect this day, some of my favorite photos!
Very rarely do I drink alcoholic beverages… any amount of alcohol makes me feel sick (and I’m an extreme lightweight 😆) plus, I don’t really enjoy the taste, so it makes perfect sense to enjoy the vibe of a cocktail without the booze. I really enjoyed these Pumpkin Apple Cider Mocktails! They’re sweet but not too sweet, there’s real pumpkin involved, and there’s a fizzy finish with a splash of kombucha!
Whip them up on a weekend fall afternoon, as a fun cocktail to serve at your Halloween party, or even as a fancy schmancy cocktail for your Thanksgiving gatherings 🤗.
The Ingredients
Ice 1/4 cup pure pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix) 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1/2 cup apple cider Splash of apple or lemon ginger kombucha, sparkling water, or ginger ale Optional- 1 teaspoon maple syrup
For serving: Coconut sugar (or raw sugar), for the rims 1 Apple, for garnish if desired
Add the ice and all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake until well combined.
Wet the rims of your glasses with a slice of apple and then coat the rims with coconut/raw sugar.
Pour the mocktail into glasses leaving room to top with a splash of kombucha or sparkling water… or alternatively a splash of ginger ale.
Mocktail Customizations
You can customize this mocktail to your liking by swapping a few ingredients.
Swap apple cider for apple juice. If you by some chance can’t find apple cider you can use apple juice.
Make it boozy! You can make this mocktail a boozy cocktail by adding a splash of apple brandy, bourbon, or vanilla rum.
Swap the flavor of kombucha for another flavor kombucha- or you can use ginger beer (non-alcoholic), sparkling water, or ginger ale.
Instead of coconut sugar on the rims you could use raw sugar, or no sugar, although I did like the sugared rims because the cocktail isn’t overly sweet on its own, unless you add maple syrup.
