Description

This creamy Honeydew Green Tea Smoothie is made with frozen honeydew, banana, avocado, oat milk, green tea, and maple syrup. Vegan, gluten-free, refreshing, and ready in 5 minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup brewed green tea, chilled
  • 1 + 1/4 cups oat milk
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 2 cups frozen honeydew melon
  • 1/2 small avocado
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • dairy-free whipped cream (optional)
  • matcha powder, for color (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the honeydew melon into chunks, removing the rind and seeds, and freeze in a single layer on a parchment lined baking sheet the day/night before. After frozen, you can add to a gallon bag to keep in your freezer. Also make sure to freeze a banana the night before!
  2. Brew the green tea ahead of time and allow it to cool completely in the refrigerator. You can also do this the night before for quicker prep in the morning.
  3. Add the chilled green tea, oat milk, frozen banana, frozen honeydew, avocado, and maple syrup to a high-speed blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as necessary. Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Top with dairy-free whipped cream if desired, although it’s delicious without!

If the smoothie is too thick for your blender, add oat milk 1 tablespoon at a time until it blends smoothly.
