Ingredients
- 2 cups dill pickle slices
- 1/2 cup gluten-free 1:1 baking flour (affiliate link)
Vegan “Egg” Wash
- 1 cup plant milk
- 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal
Almond Flour Breading
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- pinch pepper
Dairy-Free Boom Boom Sauce
- 1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise
- 1.5 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon pickle juice
- 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- pinch pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the Calphalon Air Fry Oven to 450 degrees. Then dry the pickles off with paper towels.
- Next, toss each pickle slice in gluten-free 1:1 baking flour (affiliate link) to coat it well.
- After tossing the pickle slices into the gluten-free flour, you'll then coat each slice with the vegan “egg” wash.
- Finally coat each slice in the almond flour mixture. Place each pickle on a parchment lined baking sheet until you finish breading all of the pickle slices.
- Place the pickles on the air fryer basket, leaving enough room around each pickle slice then spray lightly with spray oil, such as olive, coconut, or avocado oil. Air Fry until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes. You'll have to cook these in 2-3 batches, but they cook so fast that it's such a quick and easy process. Serve with Boom Boom sauce and enjoy right away.*
- In a small bowl or measuring cup, stir together the ketchup with vegan mayonnaise, pickle juice, onion and garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt & pepper.
