Enjoy a healthier twist on a nostalgic favorite without turning on the oven!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups almond flour
1/4 cup almond butter (I used white almond butter)
2 teaspoons cinnamon (I used ceylon cinnamon)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (I used this one)
1/2-1 cup cane sugar or sugar substitute (see notes)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, almond butter, cinnamon, salt, maple syrup, and vanilla. Stir until a dough forms—it should be soft and slightly sticky but easy to roll. Scoop out about a 1/2 tablespoon of dough at a time and roll it into balls.
- Add the cane sugar to a shallow dish, then roll each bite in the mixture until fully coated. Chill them in the fridge for about 15–20 minutes to firm up—or enjoy right away if you’re feeling impatient! Keep them stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up 5 days.
