Description

Making your own peanut butter at home is so easy and so incredibly delicious! This Homemade Roasted Peanut Butter is made with just 2 ingredients in a food processor or blender. Simply roast raw peanuts with a little salt and then blend them into a creamy and dreamy peanut butter with no added oils!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups raw, skinless peanuts, preferably organic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup, optional

Instructions

  1. Start by spreading shelled, raw skinless peanuts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Sprinkle them with the salt and roast them in the oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes, tossing them a couple of times to ensure even roasting.
  2. After the peanuts have roasted, allow them to cool for about 10 minutes and then add to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth and creamy, or your preferred peanut butter texture. This will take about 5-10 minutes of blending. If you’re adding maple syrup, add it while you’re blending, or you can stop, pour it in and then continue blending. Keep in mind that every blender and food processor is different, so the time it takes to blend into full creamy peanut butter may vary.
  3. Homemade peanut butter has a great shelf life! You can store peanut butter in an old peanut butter jar, mason jar, or airtight glass container for up to 3 months. It is recommended that you keep peanut butter stored in the refrigerator.
